Over the past 5 years, I’ve treated people in residential treatment facilities, group homes, and private practice where OCD symptoms often appeared. I’ve also treated many people for severe trauma and OCD, including the K-12 population, during school-based therapy. These cases gave me experience with exposure-based treatment, which has prepared me to become an OCD specialist. I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy to treat OCD, because ERP is considered the gold standard of OCD treatment.
The OCD community has been highly underserved regarding effective and accessible treatment, which has motivated me to become an OCD specialist. I find it very important to talk frankly during sessions because listening to you allows me to learn about your OCD challenges and lets me identify your strengths. That way, I can show you how to manage your symptoms with confidence. You’ve had successes before in your life, so I’m convinced that you’ll be able to succeed in treatment. You’ll find me to be empathetic, down-to-earth, and approachable. I also embrace collaboration. I like to build what I call a therapeutic alliance during sessions because it’ll take both of us working together to get you to the finish line.

I completely understand that therapy is a huge step and that it's taken a lot of courage and strength to get here. I'm really glad that we could potentially be partners.
