About

I believe people generally want to be happy, effective, and successful in their lives. Working from a client-centered approach, I aim to display unconditional empathy and genuine support to strengthen the therapeutic relationship and help you on your journey to a more holistic, congruent view of yourself. Outside of work, I'm currently learning to crochet with my mom, sister and law, and nieces. It's a fun hobby, family time, and I get to keep cute new knit things.

OCD treatment means challenging yourself to do those things you fear—not just speak about them. It requires a willingness to try something new. You can do it!

Get to know Khris Durham

I’ve always enjoyed working with and connecting with others. I got my BA in psychology but wasn't sure what I wanted to do after graduation. Then I worked at a senior center/adult daycare for older individuals with dementia. I often talked with members and families who needed some extra support. I was reminded that I enjoy talking to people, and even more than that, being on a journey with them in tough times.

I decided to specialize in OCD because I found that with treatment planning and using the right evidence-based models, the people I work with show results much sooner than with traditional talk therapies.

I focus on ADHD and anxiety, especially in women and women-presenting individuals. I work with folks who are struggling through life changes, including new jobs, new relationships, and grief.

Appropriate OCD treatment means challenging yourself to do those things you fear—not just speak about them. Therapy can be really effective, but it takes your hard work and dedication to do the opposite of what has been protecting you from stress, anxiety, and fear. It requires a willingness to try something new. You can do it!

That's OK! Tell me there's something you don’t feel comfortable sharing yet. We can work together to build a relationship in which you don’t feel like I’m a person you have to hide these things from. It can be nerve-wracking to talk to someone new about personal and private subjects, but as long as we build trust together, we can be successful.

This is the first time in over a year that I felt comfortable talking to a professional. I felt like I was willing to communicate because she was willing to listen and asked genuinely thought-provoking questions
