He/Him
Licensed Therapist, LMFT
I'm a very collaborative therapist. I am big on psychoeducation—I will help you learn about OCD and why we're doing what we do in therapy. I will never ask you to do an exposure I wouldn't do myself. Some fun facts about me: I enjoy hiking whenever I can, and I'm a big video gamer. Sometimes I use video games as a metaphor in therapy: we're not going to be jumping into the level 30s when we're only at level 1. We're going to work on the lower levels to build up our tolerance and abilities.

I will meet you where you're at. I am not here to judge you. I'm here to help—wherever you are, and wherever you want help.
I wanted to be able to help people who might otherwise fall through the cracks. Some people might look fine on the outside but are really struggling on the inside. That has been key in my pursuit of being a therapist. I really like working with people one-on-one, doing sessions, completing exposures, and being able to see their progress in real time.
I think OCD is a perfect example of individuals who are trying to keep it all together on the outside but are really struggling on the inside. With the behavioral work of ERP, we can really challenge that over-controlling aspect of OCD, because it goes against everything OCD wants us to do. When it comes to that anxiety, facing it is the way through it.
I have experience with anxiety and depression, especially depression with suicidality, and borderline personality disorder. I also have experience working with harm reduction in substance use and co-occurring disorders.
If you're able to do an exposure and not have a panic attack, we'll call that an A. But if you can do an exposure, have a panic attack, and sit with it, that's an A-plus. When it comes to anxiety and ERP work, we will be leaning into anxiety. You may not like me all the time!
I will meet you where you're at. If you're not comfortable sharing something with me, that's OK. We can work on our therapeutic relationship so you are more comfortable. You should know that I've heard and worked with a lot of things. I am not here to judge you. I'm here to help—wherever you are, and wherever you want help.
