Licensed Therapist, MA, LPC
I help people understand and validate their journey through OCD while explaining the process in which freedom can be achieved from OCD through ERP. Therapy allows you to learn to face obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors in a way that builds hope, confidence, and the ability to successfully 'fire' your therapist! Outside of work, personal time involves my wife and three kids. We enjoy going on day trips, playing and watching sports, all things The Office, and spending time with friends and family.

NOCD is the gold standard of OCD care. I would send my own family and friends here for treatment without hesitation.
I really enjoy helping people. Based on my own experience and mental health journey, I derive a significant amount of fulfillment in working with those struggling with OCD and anxiety disorders. Growing up, I struggled with undiagnosed anxiety/OCD. When I started my own therapeutic process as an adult, I came to understand what I had experienced, what I had been carrying as a result, and that there was an alternative. I think each one of us has a desire to find meaning in the midst of pain—to move from a place of shame and isolation to a place where one understands that what is occurring is understandable, treatable, and experienced by others. It brings me significant fulfillment and honor to walk alongside others in some of those broken places.
I can personally and professionally relate to those who struggle with anxiety and OCD-related symptoms. Treatment of those diagnoses tend to be pretty straightforward; they make a lot of sense to me as a therapist. I feel like, in many respects, those with OCD-related diagnoses are 'my people.'
Since graduating with my master’s in professional counseling in 2009, I have had the pleasure of working with adult, young adult, and adolescent populations in inpatient, collegiate, and outpatient environments. I have treated anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, mood disorders, self-harming behaviors, eating disorders, sexual compulsivity issues, relational and/or family issues, codependence, shame/self-esteem related issues, and trauma. I have also taught and supervised therapists who treat those issues.
Pursuing treatment within NOCD means that you are in good hands. From the recruitment of knowledgeable and experienced providers, to the extensive training and support staff receive, to the technological teams that make psychological tools and advice readily available, NOCD is, in my biased opinion, the gold standard of OCD care. I would send my own family and friends here for treatment without hesitation.
Let’s talk about the fear! Shame tends to lead us into thinking that we are uniquely and permanently damaged, that what we’re going through is unsolvable and incapable of being understood by others. But 99.9999% of the time, that is simply not the case. Significant freedom comes with being able to share our experiences and be met with acceptance and empathy.
