As a therapist, I am very client-centered. I will meet you where you are and how you're feeling. I'll let you tell me your story first. I won't project any preconceived ideas on what your problems are. When I'm not doing therapy, I love cooking. I probably spend too much time watching cooking shows, trying to learn new techniques. If I've been to a restaurant, I will research their menu online and try to duplicate an excellent dish. I enjoy that immensely.

As a therapist, I try to create a welcoming, warm environment. When I first meet with someone, I like to start off by finding out what they want to get out of therapy. I'll craft a treatment plan with you based on that, realizing that other concerns can arise on a week-to-week basis. Outside of work, I'm a big fan of rock and metal music and love going to concerts. As a therapist, I'm direct and solution-centered. I challenge my members therapeutically—which can be a love/hate relationship at times—but is often rewarding. I love working with individuals and seeing how far they've come. I live on the coast of Texas and enjoy fishing, boat riding, and anything that has to do with the outdoors. Over the last few years, nature has been an element in my own healing journey. It's something I incorporate when giving myself self-care.

My approach to treating OCD is accepting you where you are, by taking a non-judgmental stance. The next step is to help you identify your triggers and fears, then your values. That way, we can pinpoint what we want to change and what is preferred. I'll gradually introduce you to incremental exposures of feared events, beliefs, or experiences, then help you identify what to do other than the compulsion or how to sit in the discomfort, incrementally increasing the levels of exposure. Outside of work, as a mom of five and grandmother to three, I most often spend my spare time with my children and grandbabies. In the summer, you'll find me sitting outside reading books in the sun, and in the fall, you'll find me wrapped up by the fireplace watching football. I am a passionate fan of sports, love to learn, and have a passion for shopping as well.
