Licensed Therapist, LCSW

About

My approach to OCD therapy is warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental. We will go at your pace, and I will be there to guide you and make sure you feel seen and heard. I love being part of the incredible process of helping people move from feeling stuck and hopeless to empowered and confident. Outside of work, I love to bake and cook. I love reading cookbooks and finding new recipes. I also spend a lot of my time chasing around my very active toddler.

Get to know Leah Dronson

I am passionate about helping people. Being a therapist gives me the opportunity to help people of all ages and backgrounds live more meaningful, fulfilling lives. Therapy has been transformative in my own life, and I love to be part of that process for others. Additionally, I've always believed mental health should be valued like physical health is. I want to help make that a reality.

OCD is a widely misunderstood and stigmatized diagnosis. I'm passionate about combating this stigma and helping people regain control of their lives with the use of evidence-based treatments.

In addition to OCD, I have years of experience with anxiety disorders, autism, ADHD, trauma, depression, and sensory processing disorder. I have seen, personally and professionally, how many of these diagnoses are often misunderstood and stigmatized. I'm committed to being one of the people who understands and works against that stigma. I have experience working with all ages, including young children.

It is challenging, but we are in this together. It will feel different than traditional talk therapy, but we'll be using a highly effective evidence-based treatment. It may take some time to get used to, but you can do this. You are safe here.

This is very normal! It can take time to build trust, especially when sharing thoughts that are difficult to talk about. Many people avoid treatment because of shame or fear of being judged. I'm committed to creating a space for you that is free of judgment.
