She/Her
Licensed Therapist, LCSW
As a therapist, I tend to take a somewhat gentle approach, although that depends on our treatment goals—I can be direct and forward, or more gentle. When I'm not doing therapy, I love the outdoors—kayaking, hiking, biking, and really anything you can think of to do outside.

OCD therapy is something that can be integrated into everyday life, and it really works for people.
I’ve always really wanted to help people. Originally, I was working with foster children, and the opportunity came about to look into becoming a therapist.
When I worked with people before specializing, I saw there were very few OCD therapists. I couldn't refer people to get necessary care. So I decided to specialize. We use a very good treatment model, ERP. I want to be able to provide effective services that meet the needs of those with OCD, and I’ve learned that there is a greater need than I ever imagined.
I’ve worked a lot with trauma, especially in children, and I have experience using play therapy. I've worked for several years as a school social worker and with the military.
ERP is an evidence-based practice that has been found to be effective by decades of clinical studies. You will ultimately learn how to do the interventions yourself, so you won't have to rely on therapy all the time. It is something that can be integrated into everyday life, and it really works for people.
It's common and normal to be afraid of sharing thoughts, especially thoughts you might think are not acceptable. But this is a safe and confidential place to do that. I'm not here to judge; I'm here to help.
