I treat OCD with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for OCD. It's important to know you are not alone on this journey. This is a safe space where you'll feel validated and understood. Intrusive thoughts won't simply disappear, but they can be managed. By collaboratively identifying and fine-tuning exposures, you can build confidence and make progress in this supportive environment. My other areas of focus include depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, body-focused repetitive behaviors, tics, and children and adolescents.

My personal connection to OCD and mental health
My connection with OCD began after I had my son. I experienced postpartum OCD symptoms, including intrusive thoughts, and being able to put words to what I was going through was life-changing. I also have a personal connection to anxiety and depression, and going through those experiences as a therapist helped me connect with my Members on a deeper level, because the things I share with them are the same things I had to apply to myself.
How my life experiences shape the way I show up
My life experiences taught me the value of being seen, heard, and supported without judgment. I know what it's like to face uncertainty, self-doubt, and to feel misunderstood. Those experiences shaped how I want to show up for others and why creating a safe space where healing can happen feels so important to me.
How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy
From the very first session, I let my Members know that every part of them is welcome in this space—their thoughts, fears, uncertainty, worries, doubts, all of it. I focus on empathy, patience, curiosity, and consistency. I normalize the discomfort that comes with vulnerability, especially around OCD thoughts, and I try to model curiosity instead of shame.
What I want to help you see in yourself
I want Members to see their self-compassion, courage, and tolerance for discomfort. Intrusive thoughts don't define who you are. You're capable of sitting with uncertainty without needing to fix it, and you're stronger and more resilient than you may realize.
