About

I use a collaborative and compassionate approach to treat OCD. I enjoy using creativity and humor to help people challenge themselves to move beyond old patterns and into the life they want to live. Outside of work, I enjoy being outdoors in nature and spending time with family and friends.

It takes courage to reach out for help. Therapy may be challenging and scary at times, but it could also be very rewarding once you begin seeing changes.

Get to know Seth Sultan

Over the course of my life, therapy has been personally transformative at times when I felt stuck and needed help. I understand that going to therapy can be a vulnerable experience. Now, as a therapist myself, I find it meaningful that I get to support other people on their healing journey.

Working with people with OCD helped me learn that it's a misunderstood disorder. That led me to seek out specialized training. I know how much suffering obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors can cause, and I want to assist people in finding relief from symptoms of OCD.

My other main areas of focus are complex trauma and PTSD, as I am a practitioner of a body-oriented therapeutic model called somatic experiencing. I also have focused my practice on assisting people with depression and various types of anxiety. I have a particular interest in the connection between the mind and body and have experienced the effectiveness of treatments that take an integrative approach.

I understand that it takes courage to reach out for help. Therapy may be challenging and scary at times, but it could also be very rewarding once you begin seeing changes. You will have the support of your therapist, who is here to help you achieve your goals.

It makes sense that you're scared to tell someone you're just meeting, even a therapist, certain thoughts. I'd like you to know that you're not alone. Many people with OCD have fears of sharing their thoughts. Once you begin to share some of these thoughts, you may begin to feel less alone and take new actions that allow you to experience relief from symptoms of OCD. If you don’t feel ready to share some of your thoughts, that's OK too. We can still work together on what you feel OK sharing.

I really don’t like this survey instrument and would prefer not to give any answers. I was prompted to rate my session with Seth Sultan. This is very indirectly about my session, and more about seeking promotional items to post for NOCD. The checkbox below defaults to “I agree to have my review shared.” What if I didn’t see that it was already checked and submitted and didn’t want to share! A checkbox should NEVER default to checked when it could potentially lead to someone sharing confidential information in a more public way. I would rate my therapist with 10+ stars, but this survey does not allow me to rate him at all. I feel tricked and misled whenever I see this survey come up. It’s the only thing I REALLY DISLIKE about NOCD. I look forward to my sessions because of Seth Sultan. Please let me say that!

Seth helped me to smile about something very real to me and instructed me to sit with that warm feeling. That was a very meaningful feeling. Thank you
