Licensed Therapist, Ed.S., LPC, CCATP-CA, SAC, AFP, CZT
I am a relational counselor. To me, rapport is the most important thing. I seek out connection and a good therapeutic relationship: this ERP is yours. It is not mine. Let's come up with ideas together, discuss and collaborate. Outside of work, I'm the mom of a teenager, and I love to do art journaling, needle felting, and outdoor activities like kayaking.

It's such a wonderful thing to see people come in at the end of therapy and say, “That doesn't bother me. I don't think about that anymore.” It's exciting to see the relief on people's faces. They're so happy that thoughts aren't haunting them anymore. I love to be a part of that journey.
It was a natural progression in my life. I love people, and I love being a helper. Therapy is a beautiful way to unwind people’s problems and bring them clarity.
It's a good challenge for therapists to do things on a more behavioral level, to understand problems and step into them in a different way. With ERP, you can be more direct with the behaviors that result from anxiety than other ways I've moved through therapy with clients. I've done a lot of work with anxiety, trauma, and addiction. I’m passionate about helping people who are surviving and healing from trauma and anxiety. I'm very intrigued by the impact trauma has on people's lives, how one event can really change the trajectory of someone's life in such a meaningful and impactful way.
It's important to know that it is targeted. It is behavioral. But it's also very flexible and personal. The work you do with NOCD is very specialized. We can really pinpoint issues and dig in to work on them. It's a short-term therapy, working toward a long-term life of relief and freedom from the obsessions and intrusive thoughts you're struggling with.
Believe me when I say I'm not here to judge you. Your intrusive thoughts are not thoughts that you want to have. They're thoughts that kind of sneak in, and they're unwanted. We want to make them take up less of your life. My job is to help with that. My job is not to judge them.
