About

I aim to make our sessions individualized and work collaboratively. Together, we will determine the goals you want to work toward that will help you develop more control over your symptoms and your life. After, you'll be able to take the tools we learn and use them in the outside world, even when therapy ends. A fun fact about me: When I'm not doing therapy, I love taking my dog for walks on the beach; I live just five minutes away from the water.

I understand what it's like to be on both sides of the screen during therapy. It's a vulnerable place. I enjoy the process of helping others work through challenges and live the life they want.

I always wanted to go into the helping field. I enjoy the process of helping others work through challenges and live the life they want. I've also dealt with my own anxiety and continue to work on it, so I understand what it's like to be on both sides of the screen. It's a vulnerable place to share personal information. I really take that into consideration when working with someone new.

When I started learning about OCD in grad school, I found it really interesting. I have some close friends who have OCD and are working on their symptoms. When I learned about ERP and how effective it is, I thought OCD therapy sounded like a great way to help people feel better quicker—in a very short amount of time.

I've treated PTSD, depression, and anxiety disorders.

Know that you've already taken one of the biggest steps in getting help—you reached out. Together, we will work through this. We will create a plan to help you reach your goals. It's up to you to decide how much you want to push yourself. I'm never going to push you too far.

Know that this is a nonjudgmental space. It's up to you to share what you're ready to.

Yesterday was my first therapy session ever. I feel so optimistic about my future now that I am finally going to be held accountable for my healing journey. Looking forward to the next session already to learn more about my action plan.

NOCD is fine if you don’t feel like you need a specialist & your insurance is paying for it. I think NOCD is doing fantastic things and has fantastic intentions but for ROCD i found the ERP only approach to be really jarring and i felt like a cow in a cattle line to be milked every session. it felt deeply impersonal and even tho i liked my therapist as a person the therapy felt like a machine. Most importantly My therapist was GRAVELY under qualified to help with ROCD - i felt like after reading a few articles i understood it better than her. She’d often say really triggering things that were so ignorant and detrimental to my progress in recover (i.e. “sometimes relationships can just end just because you have the ick, you don’t need to have a reason”) - LIKE WHAT- ur literally my therapist confirming my worst fears and anxieties. Thank GOD i knew she was wrong and just really didn’t understand OCD so - AFTER I FOUND OUT MY INSURANCE WASNT COVERING ANY OF THIS - I left immediately and found and actual specialist that was worth paying out of pocket. I’m still paying off my bill at NOCD for care that was painful and not helpful. To her credit she did help me get over all my hygiene compulsions, but i was mainly seeing her for ROCD.

Dani Gold was professional, knowledgeable, and understanding. Dani Gold explained clearly what the illness of OCD is, and after an hour after interviewing move in detail, came to a diagnosis that I am irritable, and have anxiety.
