To maintain recovery from OCD, it's important to develop certain protective factors in life, such as positive coping and problem-solving skills, strong social support, a sense of purpose, personal safety and security, and belonging in the community and larger society. My approach to treating OCD includes Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and strengthening these protective factors. I'm an affirming and non-judgmental person who works to understand other people with openness and humility. I have experience helping people recover from adverse childhood experiences, including physical and sexual abuse, neglect, divorce, and rejection.
