How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy

I think it's important to let people go at their own pace and not rush them. I'll encourage and support you as you open up and remind you that sharing these thoughts takes courage. It's not easy to trust a stranger with your deepest fears, but therapy should be a space where you feel safe to do so.

What I want to help you see in yourself

Healing isn't just about managing symptoms - it's about finding your true identity and stepping into the person you want to be. I want people to know that their intrusive thoughts do not define them. When someone starts ERP and realizes they can separate themselves from their thoughts, that's a huge step forward. You are not your OCD. You are capable of living a fulfilling, meaningful life.

The most rewarding part of treating OCD

Seeing people go from feeling stuck to thriving is everything. I worked with someone who had relationship OCD for years - intrusive thoughts kept her stuck in the same painful cycle. Through ERP, she was able to move forward, let go of that distress, and actually enjoy dating again. That kind of transformation is priceless.

My personal connection to OCD and mental health

I come from a family of therapists and social workers, so I was born for this. But what truly inspired me to become a therapist was my own experience. I saw a therapist in my 20s and fell in love with therapy - the ability to help someone heal and find their purpose. I've also lost family members to mental health struggles, so I take it very seriously. This work is deeply personal to me.
