As your OCD therapist, I'll build rapport and trust during our sessions. This is a non-judgmental space of radical acceptance. Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) really works! It's the most empirically validated treatment for OCD. Beyond OCD, I also specialize in treating depression. Like OCD, it's another disorder that can rob so much of your life from you. Working with depression has given me a stronger and broader view of OCD. I know that you can grow and change in ways you thought were impossible.

My personal connection to OCD and mental health

When I look back on my mom growing up, I'm pretty sure she had OCD. I also have a lot of anxiety in my family. A lot of the people that I work with have a family member with some kind of diagnosis and I think I'm able to relate to them in that way.

How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy

I don't mind talking about my own life. If you want to ask me any questions, I'm fine being an open book when we're having fun with it and doing it in a respectful way. If I pick up on someone not enjoying that, we take a different approach.

My message to you if you're scared to try therapy

It can sound scary because we're going to do things that can be a bit difficult, but we're never going to start in a place where you're uncomfortable. If I'm asking you about an exposure, and you're telling me, "Oh, that's a 10 out of 10," we're not doing that. We're going to start somewhere that you're comfortable with.

What my Members say helps them feel comfortable with me

I play a few instruments-that's a big part of my life. Usually, I'm especially able to connect with someone who's doing something creative. Everyone can be creative, especially using ERP, and we can kind of draw from each other that way.
