I was in therapy for nearly 10 years before being diagnosed with OCD myself. When I was connected with the right treatment, it was truly life-changing. As your OCD therapist, I believe your autonomy and consent are paramount. Our sessions will be a constant collaboration. Through exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy, you'll learn that you don't have to be ruled by intrusive thoughts, intense emotions, or disruptive compulsions. I provide trauma-informed treatment. As a non-binary, queer therapist, I strive to cultivate a warm, inclusive space for people of all genders and sexualities.

My personal connection to OCD and mental health

I was diagnosed with OCD about five years ago, after years of being treated for anxiety and depression. Finding a provider who recognized what I was dealing with changed everything. That experience shapes my approach to therapy and allows me to connect with Members on a deep level, which helps them make gains toward their goals.

How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy

I try to meet you where you're at, with compassion and respect for what you're going through and for who you are. If you're coming to OCD therapy for the first time and doesn't know what to expect, I find that humor, respect, curiosity, and humility help me figure out how to support you best as an individual.

My message to you if you're uncertain about ERP

Many people starting exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy can feel apprehensive or unsure at first. I try to provide validation, support, and education about the OCD cycle and how ERP is specifically designed to interrupt that cycle so they can feel confident in the process.

How my identity shapes the way I work

I belong to the LGBTQIA+ community. It's a group I strongly identify with through lived experience and through my personal and professional values. Upholding those values is important when I'm connecting with Members from diverse backgrounds and identities. It helps me engage with many different perspectives and concerns with openness and empathy.
