About

I value collaboration, transparency, compassion, and authenticity in everything that I do. I aim to compassionately challenge you to take on OCD at a pace that feels sustainable to you. Trust, empowerment, education, and vulnerability are key! Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband, son, and two beagles, especially anywhere in nature. I feel most at peace when I am in the woods or by water. My lofty goal is to travel to all of the U.S. national parks in my lifetime!

Get to know Justine Diener O'Leary

I have always been curious about people and love fostering deep connections and having meaningful conversations. I knew that I wanted to help people in some way. Establishing these connections always came naturally to me, and I've loved honing my skills as a therapist over time.

One major reason I decided to specialize in OCD is because I have lived experience with OCD and have seen, on a personal level, how effective ERP is for treating OCD. With the right compassionate care, I know hope and recovery are possible.

In addition to OCD, I specialize in working with survivors of trauma (especially sexual and intimate partner violence), body image and eating concerns, general anxiety, and maternal mental health. One of my core values as a therapist is empowerment. I want people to feel like they have the tools and inner confidence to take on whatever life throws at them. I want folks to develop self-compassion and reclaim their narratives to live full and meaningful lives.

Oftentimes, scheduling and attending that first appointment is the hardest part! My hope is that once we meet, we can begin to build trust and safety to reduce pre-therapy anxiety and feelings of shame. NOCD Therapy takes hard work and courage, but my goal is to create an environment that feels safe and nonjudgmental, a place where you can be your most courageous self.

I always encourage transparency—let me know about your discomfort and hesitancy and we can talk about it. Although I aim to create a space without judgment, I know firsthand how much shame and stigma can come from living with mental health challenges. It's normal to be nervous about opening up! I honor and respect that while working to build an environment where you feel like you can be vulnerable and open over time.
