I'm a very supportive, encouraging, and collaborative therapist. I like to ensure members aren't surprised by any part of their experience in addressing OCD. Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) may seem scary at first, but you've dealt with a lot already. As someone who experiences anxiety, I know the benefits of overcoming these symptoms and regaining control over our emotions and mood. My goal is to build your confidence and help you return to living life without limitations. In addition to OCD, I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.

What I want to help you see in yourself

I want to bring out your confidence. I think a lot of people come to therapy scared because it's something new. They may have tried to handle OCD on their own but didn't have the right tools to do so, so I want to show them that they can do this. I know it may feel overwhelming right now, but that's a temporary feeling.

What my Members say helps them feel comfortable with me

My Members know exactly what I'm thinking and why I'm thinking it. I think that allows them to step into that role of being their own therapist over time. My Members also appreciate that I don't need to be around forever. I always tell them that I'm glad to be in their lives and to help, but I should be temporary. I want you to take what I'm teaching you and get back to living your life.

The most rewarding part of treating OCD

I love getting to watch my Members start enjoying their relationships, their work, and all the things that they actually love again—without their OCD symptoms taking them away. Helping them get those moments back is amazing.

Why I became a therapist

As a woman of color who also comes from a Korean background, therapy wasn't something I was taught to be open to, but I always knew that we couldn't figure out how to express ourselves and understand our feelings completely on our own. We all need help, and I wanted to be a therapist so I could help people with experiences like mine feel more comfortable.
