About

I am empathic and person-centered in my approach to treating OCD. I create a safe place where members feel comfortable, knowing they're not being judged or stigmatized. I ensure my members understand why we're taking our approach to therapy and collaborate on mutually agreed goals. My hobbies outside of work include watching sports, reading, playing games on my Xbox, and listening to music. I love to hang out with friends and family, play with my Boston Terrier, Sigmund, and travel.

Get to know Felix Murad

I've always found fulfillment in providing support and creating a safe space for people to explore their thoughts and feelings. Listening comes naturally to me, and I genuinely care about helping others navigate difficult times. Being a therapist allows me to make a positive impact, guiding individuals toward personal growth and emotional well-being.

I saw a need for people living with OCD—there weren't enough therapists who specialized in treating the condition. This barrier adds to the other barriers to getting relief. I'm passionate about helping others and feel specializing in OCD would remove one barrier many people experience when seeking a qualified therapist.

I also have experience helping people with PTSD, anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, work-related issues, and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Therapy may seem arduous, but I will facilitate it to meet your individual needs. Through building a great rapport with your therapist and utilizing evidence-based treatment, you can overcome OCD and live a meaningful and fulfilling life.

I encourage you to share your thoughts and feedback. I will never judge you for sharing your thoughts—in fact, I encourage you to do that; it will help you succeed at NOCD. Your thoughts may seem unusual to you, but I've probably heard them before. I welcome you to share them with me.
