I have personal experience with OCD. I know intrusive thoughts and behaviors can be overwhelming and prevent you from moving throughout everyday life. As your OCD therapist, I'll create a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to share, walking alongside you as you address self-defeating behaviors. I'll support and gently challenge you through gradual exposure to the thoughts or situations that make you feel anxious, helping reduce your urges to respond with compulsive behaviors. My professional focus areas include depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance abuse use, and couples therapy.

My personal connection to OCD and mental health
As the mom of someone with OCD, I wish I had more knowledge when she was younger so I could've assisted her better and understood why those behaviors were happening. I know there's a lot more to OCD than what you can see from the outside. Just because you can't see someone's struggles doesn't mean they aren't struggling.
How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy
I'll let you know that you won't be judged, no matter what you say to me. I've probably heard it all, so nothing will shock me. I know how OCD latches onto intrusive, unwanted, and very uncomfortable thoughts, and I'm there to support and help you through this.
What I want to help you see in yourself
I want you to know that there's so much more to you than OCD. You have a life, a purpose, and value. I want you and others to see that.
My message to you if you're considering therapy
You're going to learn, and you're going to grow, and the outcome is going to be so much more meaningful to you than any hesitation you might feel in the beginning. We're going to go at a slow pace and work our way through the process together. NOCD has an amazing training program, and each therapist has to pass it to become a therapist here. So we are specialized in OCD.
