About

My approach to treating OCD aims to isolate your specific doubts/fears, then use doubt to fight doubt. OCD wants to be the center of your life by injecting doubt and fear into any facet of life it can. My approach helps you disarm doubt and fear through self-exploration, curiosity, and courageous exposure. Outside of work, I dance: ballet/pointe, jazz, contemporary, hip hop. Before working in mental health, I was a professional TV/film makeup artist. I’ve combined my love of makeup and therapy and created my own modality: “makeup therapy” incorporates talk therapy, art therapy, and personalized makeup education. It is the ultimate combination of my two passions.

Get to know Natalia Caronna

I became a therapist to hold the lantern for others on their path, in the same way therapists helped illuminate my own path. I wanted to contribute to the flock of healers committed to lessening the fear, doubt, pain, and shame of the human experience. If I can help someone feel less alone and more heard and seen, I’ve fulfilled my purpose.

I was diagnosed with OCD when I was 25 and come from a family deeply affected by OCD. I have the lived experience necessary to understand OCD from the inside out and walk hand in hand with clients through their ERP journey. OCD gets misdiagnosed and mistreated far too often. I chose this specialty to be part of changing this reality.

Gender-affirming care, codependent recovery, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and religious trauma. I’m a fierce ally to the LGBTQIA+ community and worked for a queer mental health agency for two-and-a-half years. I’m a member of Co-Dependents Anonymous and come from a family deeply involved in recovery. Treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, and religious trauma is also an extension of my own lived experience through therapy.

Before starting NOCD therapy, know that you’re in the right place. If you’ve been misdiagnosed or mistreated in the past, that part of your therapeutic journey is over. NOCD truly understands OCD and how to treat it, making it possible for you to feel relief and get back to living much faster than other methods.

I’m an open book of a therapist: nothing is taboo, nothing is off limits. If you're ever afraid to share a thought, remember that I’ve likely had the same thought as a fellow OCD conqueror. Feel free to ask me specifics about my own journey with OCD if that’s helpful to reassure you that you’re in safe, non-judgmental hands.
