I have 15 years of experience treating OCD, working in outpatient and acute psychiatric hospitals. I’ve also conducted teletherapy for almost 10 years in private practice. I’ve tried many treatments for OCD, but Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy is the most successful approach for long-term symptom management. What I love the most about ERP is watching people gain control over their lives. I know that with ERP, you gain control over your life as well.
I stand behind ERP therapy because I’ve battled OCD and used ERP to recover. During our sessions, I’ll ask you to face your fears as you become exposed to the cause of your obsessions. ERP therapy can be an uncomfortable short-term experience, sitting with what causes your anxiety. But you’ll learn how to allow thoughts that were once intrusive to pass by. It’s important to understand that OCD is not curable, but it is manageable. I’ll teach you how to manage OCD symptoms whenever they pop up. Members describe me as engaging and goal-oriented. I have a precise memory for the smallest detail, allowing me to describe my own ERP experiences very well. Most of all, I can relate to what you’re going through.
