She/Her
Licensed Therapist, MA, LPC
I am a human-centered therapist. I can appreciate how difficult treatment can be, and I never forget that there is a human being sitting across from me. I lead with self-compassion, patience, and kindness. And I ask my members to do the same for themselves. Outside of work, I like to spend my time listening to music and dancing, hanging out with friends and family, and engaging in enjoyable physical movement.

Having been through an extremely severe case of OCD and making it to recovery, I want to reach and support as many people with OCD as possible.
I have always had an affinity for listening with genuine compassion when others share their stories. When I considered what sort of career would allow me to utilize this skill, therapist was an easy choice. I feel lucky to work in a field where I can make a difference in people’s lives.
In my mid-30s, I was diagnosed with OCD. I quickly discovered why the World Health Organization lists it as one of the top 10 most debilitating illnesses in the world. I was housebound for about two years due to the severity of my OCD. ERP got me to the other side of that. Having been through an extremely severe case and making it to recovery, I wanted to shift my focus as a therapist so I could reach and support as many people with OCD as possible.
Sport and performance psychology, anxiety disorders, and relationships. I grew up playing a lot of sports, and I have family members who work in high-risk occupations, so I was drawn to the field of sport and performance psychology. I have also always struggled with a form of an anxiety disorder, so I specialized there. And because relationships can give our lives so much meaning, I wanted to be able to support people in this area as well.
This particular illness, and its corresponding treatment, might be the most challenging things you've had to manage in your life. Most importantly: You can handle that. In the words of Art Williams, 'I’m not telling you it’s going to be easy. I’m telling you it’s going to be worth it.'
Take your time. And know that you can always tell me you are afraid. There is nothing wrong with being afraid. You won’t be judged, and we can go at a pace that is comfortable for you when it comes to sharing all your thoughts.
