I have OCD but have not been symptomatic for several years. I hope to help others achieve that same accomplishment. As your therapist, I want to learn about you and your obsessions and compulsions. We will start slow. There's no pressure to get things right the first time; we can take things as far as you're willing to push yourself. If you commit to working through uncomfortable feelings, living life outside of your head is a beautiful thing. My other focus areas include anxiety, eating disorders, and trauma.

My personal connection to OCD and mental health
I have relationship OCD and was diagnosed around 10 years ago. I also struggled with depression and anxiety at a young age, but it wasn't diagnosed until much later. I've done a lot of treatment, including ERP, and have been successful with it. I think that guides my practice now because I saw what worked and what didn't. I love helping people. I'm very interested in the brain and how it works.
How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy
I'm very honest with members about treatment. I know it can be scary and really hard. OCD can be really debilitating, and I know it can be hard to try something new. I'll tell you that I know I'm asking you to do something you might've been trying to avoid, and we're just going to take baby steps with it. I also don't go into a session acting like I know it all.
What I want to help you see in yourself
I want you to discover your resilience. I know OCD can be debilitating and a lot of the time, it makes you want to give up. But I know you can get through it. It does get better. Even those small glimmers of hope when your anxiety goes down after you do an exposure—that's important.
What my Members appreciate about me
I have a lot of different interests, and I can connect with a lot of different people. I think I understand a lot of different people and where they're coming from. I also really like to learn. I want to hear your life story. I want to know how you're doing, what your symptoms are, and how to make things better for you.
