About

I will meet you where you are and offer support and understanding. This may be a new process for you, and there may be some uncomfortable and difficult things we have to work through, but there is hope. You can manage your symptoms so they aren't so impactful in your life. Outside of work, I love crafting, drawing, and painting, and caring for my plants.

Get to know Alyssa Cruz

Working in the social service field, I saw the need for more therapists. I love using my learned experience and life experience to support people who are in different challenging situations. I love the whole process of therapy—working from start to finish, and being able to see positive progress. It's so gratifying when people can say, 'You know, I remember struggling with this issue and now it's not so impactful for me.'

While doing individual therapy, I saw there was a need for therapists who specialize in OCD. I wanted to be able to support the people I was working with more in that area.

I have experience with trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral concerns. I've worked with a variety of age groups, from children to adults of any age.

We're starting this journey together, and we're here to learn together. Let's identify the goals you'd like to reach and the areas you'll want to work on. Therapy is definitely a learning experience, but it's worth it in the end.

A level of vulnerability is required to be successful in therapy. However, if you're afraid, that's OK. Take your time. Share what you're comfortable sharing. We'll work through one issue or concern at a time, so things don't feel overwhelming.

She just really knows what she's doing. She's able to read between the lines and figure out what my child is dealing with, or needs. She has helped him and our family heal. She has compassion for my precious son, who struggles. He has improved in so many areas and has more confidence.

Alyssa worked with me through my ocd fears and obsessions without judgement; rather she always knew exactly what types of exposures would work and was able to help guide, teach and give me tools that have made my ocd finally manageable. I can’t thank her enough

So grateful and blessed to have Alyssa Cruz as my therapist on this journey of healing and growing. Trust came naturally with her as she immediately demonstrated kindness and compassion. I feel completely at ease having difficult conversations with her. It’s nice to be heard, I know that she genuinely cares and I know that she interprets what I’m saying, and how I’m feeling without judgement and while being vulnerable doesn’t come easy for me, but I know I’m in a safe space. I couldn’t have asked for a better therapist.
