Stephanie Beckner

Licensed Therapist, MA, LPC

My approach to treating OCD is to provide a warm, non-judgmental, encouraging space to help you understand your symptoms and to work toward your goals, step by step. I will be your teammate, coach, and cheerleader as we navigate the path to greater relief from your OCD. Outside of work, I love to explore Austin with my puppy, Bowie, who is learning to swim. I am a certified yoga teacher and enjoy baking and trying new recipes.

OCD can make it really tough to realize that you are not somehow flawed. I will help you realize that you're not alone in experiencing these debilitating symptoms, there is not something lacking in you, and there are specific, approachable, life-changing tools that can show you some light at the end of the tunnel.

Get to know Stephanie Beckner

I have always enjoyed working with people. It is an honor and an incredible joy to help in a client’s journey of overcoming their OCD.

Helping people understand what OCD is, how it works, the trickiness of this “smart” disorder, the commonality of these tough, scary symptoms, and that you can find lasting, long-term relief from OCD is beyond rewarding.

I specialize in anxiety/OCD and couples therapy. I have worked with anxiety/ OCD and depression in IOP, PHP, and outpatient settings. Helping people connect long-lasting, detrimental symptoms to the realization that this is part of their OCD (and not anything bad or wrong with them) is so empowering to watch. I want to do everything I can to help members reach this place of freedom and relief.

The journey might seem overwhelming. I will be there, each step of the way, as your collaborative team member and guide to help encourage and support you. I will remind you that you can meet these challenges. With courage, an open mind, and a touch of humor, we will work together to help you reach a more fulfilling life, less burdened by OCD.

It can be scary and intimidating to share your thoughts and feelings, especially with OCD running the show. You are not alone. I am here, without judgment, to walk with you and tackle these steps together. With compassion and understanding, we will move at a manageable pace to reach your goals.
