He/Him
Licensed Therapist, LMFT
I became a therapist to help free people from the barriers that OCD puts on their lives. Over the years, I’ve learned how important it is to build rapport and trust with the people I’m treating by listening, demonstrating empathy, and helping them feel valued within a safe environment. Members describe me as kind, compassionate, and a great listener, and I feel honored to have witnessed relationships be restored many years post-treatment.

I believe in you and know you can do it. You'll have my encouragement and support the whole way. There's no guilt, there's no shame. We can definitely talk about anything in therapy. There are no taboo subjects.
When I was growing up, my dad had BPD and my mom had OCD. I really wanted to understand the mind better. It made me very curious about helping people, and I wanted to be able to learn to help my parents too. My mom has a lot of OCD fears, specifically about her animals being harmed. She is very plagued by these types of thoughts. It gives me a lot of compassion toward the members I work with.
I like that there's a very specific method to treating people with OCD, and it has a very high success rate. To me, that was very appealing. As a therapist, I'm very encouraging and down to earth. I believe in you and know you can do it. You'll have my encouragement and support the whole way.
For the last six years, I've been doing substance abuse treatment. The people I treated had depression, anxiety, ADHD, and sometimes OCD. Growing up in my teens, I had my own brush with that. I wanted to give back and help the same population. I love when a member has a light-bulb moment, and they realize this is something that's very treatable. They start to get that hope, and you can really see them turning a corner toward a positive direction.
You're taking a courageous step toward healing. You're doing the right thing for yourself.
