About

I've always been interested in how people think and behave. I became a counselor after a 20-year career in retail—I was more interested in helping my customers than selling them a product. A fun fact about me: I love British mysteries. Poirot, Marple, Midsomer Murders—every weekend, all day. I’ve gotten my entire family involved in them.

People who deal with OCD often suffer silently and alone. I want to give you a voice and sit with you as you work to overcome intrusive thoughts.

I’ve always been interested in how people think and behave. I decided to become a counselor after a 20-year career as a retail stationery boutique owner. I realized I was more interested in the stories my customers were telling me as we custom-designed invitations for their wedding, bat mitzvah, or celebration than I was in selling them a product.

After becoming a therapist, I realized a much larger population was asking for therapy and expressing confusing thoughts they were ashamed to admit. Most had never been diagnosed with OCD, although they had seen a therapist previously. I wanted to work with a population where I could make a difference. People who deal with OCD often suffer silently and alone. I wanted to give them their voice and sit with them. I have a close family member who began displaying symptoms of anxiety and OCD at a very early age. Unfortunately, I didn't know the signs at that time. Eventually, I realized she dealt with OCD. I saw the struggle our family went through as we tried to help her. It was heartbreaking. I'm glad to say she is doing much better now.

In private practice, I focus primarily on EMDR therapy. I treat trauma disorders and borderline personality disorder. I’ve worked with children as young as age 3, teens, and adults.

Latasha is light hearted, easy to talk to, energetic and very intentional. I haven't started my ERP but if you're looking for a therapist that makes you feel safe, calm, and puts a lot of effort (and her own personal spin) into helping you understand the process and dives deep into making sure you understand your diagnosis, I recommend Latasha 100/10.

Latasha targets the exposure in a very smart way. Steadily, she supports me and helps me in overcoming my urges to ruminate and seek safety behaviors. She encourages me and celebrates my achievements Im very grateful for her :)

My therapist helped me through the harder ERP-Sessions and with that helped me on my recovery. They know your struggles and give you the motivation to confront your fears and get on with life when you don't have a drive at all, when everything feels like it's too much. Huge respect for everyone who works as a therapist here at NOCD and in general!

Always a treasure to do a session with her. We do the work, but she also laughs with me. And that in and of itself is healing.

I always feel seen and heard. It’s nice to feel that and be able to laugh as well.
