My personal connection to OCD and mental health

Struggling with OCD, anxiety, and depression has shaped my understanding of emotional distress. Close friends and family members of mine have also navigated intrusive thoughts, compulsions, and depression, and I've seen how shame and silence can isolate people, even when they're surrounded by love. In therapy, that translates into a deep sense of empathy and non-judgment. I strive to create a space where you feel safe to be vulnerable, and where your experiences are validated.

How my background shapes how I support you

Growing up in low-income communities as the eldest child of teenage parents, I learned the importance of intergenerational support and collaboration, and cultivated a deep sense of responsibility. These experiences taught me how to extend compassion and grace in complex situations, and they continue to guide how I approach therapy—with empathy, humility, and a commitment to meeting you where you are.

How I create a safe, supportive space in therapy

Your thoughts, emotions, and experiences will be met with compassion and curiosity, not criticism.I view therapy as a collaborative process. I'll walk alongside you as you work toward your goals, honoring your pace while gently encouraging your growth.

What helps Members feel comfortable with me

My Members often share that my cool, calm, and collected approach helps them feel at ease—especially when opening up about things they've been afraid or ashamed of. They've told me that the steady, grounded energy I bring creates a sense of emotional safety, allowing them to explore difficult topics without feeling overwhelmed or judged.
