As someone who struggled with depression and anxiety, I understand what it's like to experience mental health issues, and I know how effective therapy can be. My approach to treating OCD is warm, inquisitive, and open-minded. I seek to understand people where they are, and I connect with them authentically and empathically. Exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy is effective when we put it into action. Even when you feel afraid, positive changes will come. Change comes with discomfort and challenges, but, the long-term result will be rewarding. Let's go through this together.

My personal connection to mental health

I struggled with depression and social anxiety during college. With therapy and support from my friends, I was able to heal and move forward. That experience influenced me to become a therapist so I could provide a safe space and the tools people need to get better—and to remind them that they are not alone.

How my background shapes how I support you

As an immigrant in the U.S., I've faced challenges like stereotyping, microaggressions, and discrimination, and I've often felt unheard and unseen. Because of that, I want to provide a space where you feel safe, understood, and able to open up. My experiences as a parent have also challenged me to push through discomfort daily, which helps me connect with others going through difficult moments.

How I create a safe, supportive environment

I focus on active and reflective listening and creating a non-judgmental space. I encourage you to use therapy to work toward what matters to you, because this is your space. I also allow myself to be authentic when it's helpful, so you can see that I'm human too.

What I want to help you see in yourself

Your resilience and your strength in getting through difficult situations are powerful inner resources. The ability to ask for help and receive help is a strength, too.

Good experience

Kiki has been the best! She is challenging me to get out of my comfort zone and try new things that I would not have thought to try myself. I have been struggling with OCD and anxiety since I was a kid which lead to repetitive body focused behaviors. I tried everything to stop and I always resorted back to my habits. Kiki has taught me how to understand and respond to these habits and has been a life changer. Wish I had found her earlier!!
