He/Him
Licensed Therapist, LCSW
I will work with you from a place of understanding. I'd really like to get to know you and what your individual challenges are. I will meet you where you're at. Then, we can work hand-in-hand to learn skills that will help manage your OCD. This will be a very individualized process. When I'm not doing therapy, my wife and I like to take long walks with our dog Luca. She really grounds us. She's nine years old now and still has the energy of a puppy.

Starting therapy can be scary, especially if you're doing it for the first time. But sometimes the scariest things can allow us to make the most growth. As a therapist and someone who's been in therapy, I've been on both sides.
I grew up in a neighborhood where there was a lot of depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Even at a young age, I could see the challenges that many people experienced, and there really weren't resources for those individuals. I always thought, there has to be a way to help people; there has to be a way people can address their mental health challenges. I studied psychology to be a part of the solution. The more I became involved in this field, the more passionate I became. I knew that this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I love working with individuals one-on-one and really making a difference in their lives.
I've worked with many different populations, and I've seen a big spike in OCD in the last three or four years. I've seen just how debilitating it is. It's about certain patterns of behavior that have to be addressed, and learning to manage them can help someone regain their freedom. I like working with people who have OCD and helping them make those very specific changes to improve their lives.
I've worked with many individuals with co-occurring disorders—mostly depression, substance use, PTSD, and anxiety. I have also treated severe mental illnesses, such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. I've worked with a wide range of populations, including adolescents, adults, and people experiencing homelessness.
It's not going to be easy. It will require patience, and it's going to involve work. I'm not expecting you to put in all the work, and I'm also not expecting for me to put in all the work. It's going to require a balance. But I know that if both sides give it a good shot and put effort into therapy, we will see success.
Starting therapy can be scary, especially if you're doing it for the first time. But sometimes the scariest things can allow us to make the most growth. I come from a place of understanding. As a client and a therapist, I've been on both sides. I'm here to listen. I'm not here to judge. I always try to put myself in the shoes of the person I'm working with. And I’m a firm believer that the rewards of therapy are tremendous.
