OCD has a way of wiping out your self-esteem and self-worth. I can help empower you to find your strengths and take that next step toward feeling whole again. Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is challenging work, but it's some of the most rewarding and worthwhile work you can do. I'll be there to support you through live sessions and messaging, and you'll have access to the NOCD community who, like you, are living with OCD. My focus areas include anxiety, stress, depression, body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), life transitions, parenting, and trauma.

My personal connection to OCD and mental health
I've dealt with anxiety and have family members who have, as well. Having that experience has helped me be more understanding and empathetic. It makes me want to empower people to see their true potential, tune into their own strengths, and understand that they can be an agent for change in their own life.
How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy
I want to be a support for the people I work with. I make sure you know I'm there with you every step of the way, and you're not alone. I want this to be a safe space for you to open up and share those really disturbing thoughts, while knowing they're not reflective of you. They're something else taking over that we can learn to manage.
My message to you if you're wondering what therapy will be like
It's not always easy, but it's so rewarding. And it's amazing how quickly you can see the change, and feel the relief when you're really putting in the work. You're also not going to be alone in this, on your own island, doing it yourself. We're here to support you, and we can move at whatever pace you need.
The most rewarding part of treating OCD
Seeing the gains that people make, and how quickly it happens for some, is so exciting and motivating. It's some of the most rewarding work I've ever done as a therapist. I also try to relay those success stories to other people who might be struggling or aren't as comfortable with treatment. It's so important to trust the process.

Great! I need to cancel my therapy session. I have on February 27. I made an appointment on the 28th to try to replace it but now I can’t delete any of them.

She’s the best. Skilled and compassionate. Patient and well versed in all things OCD. I’ve gone from a shell of myself, to someone who can function, and isn’t crippled like I was before
R.N.
Kristine is so understanding of my situation. Doesn’t give me reassurance which is great! But also give me the tools and motivation to keep moving in my recovery. Honestly NOCD is one of the best things that has happened to me and idk where I would be without it.

Kristine Guerra is my therapist. She is the perfect combination of compassion, education and knowledge about my OCD and all of its subsets. She knows how to keep me on track with my ERP, while also maintaining a non-judgmental, caring and professional approach. This is the first time in 40 years, that I feel empowered and have hope. So grateful for Kristine! -Sara Jukes

I love Kristine, and she's great at what she does. But my ADHD is getting the best of me and I don't feel like I'm able to focus on what I need to do. I need to find a way to got on top of both of these issues at once, and I feel like I'm just treading water.
R.N.
I am so grateful of having reached out to NOCD. I am enjoying my Christmas and really didn’t even think I was going to make it to this point. Kristine is such a great understanding person and she gives me the confidence to continue my recovery journey.
M.G.
Kristine is absolutely amazing. Therapy has been as smooth as possible because of her. She is really good at what she’s doing.
