She/Her
Licensed Therapist, LCSW
As a therapist, I'm very humanistic. I believe your treatment should be guided by you. I encourage you to have compassion for yourself as you learn to recognize that you are not your thoughts. When I'm not doing therapy, I enjoy acrylic painting. I love doing 'dirty pours,' where you pour a bunch of paints together on a canvas, and a piece begins to take the shape of its very own unique, individual self.

In therapy, It's important to be patient with yourself. The goal is progress, not perfection. As a team, we'll get there. You'll learn to become comfortable sitting inside of your feelings, and learning how to cope with your fears in a new way.
I enjoy helping other people. My son has a schizoaffective disorder in addition to OCD and autism. I have a very deep sense of empathy for anyone that's experiencing mental health issues.
I have a couple of family members who have experienced OCD. Watching them work to overcome their struggles has made me interested in wanting to help others too. One of the best parts of being a therapist is seeing people have that moment where they become empowered.
I have a lot of experience with mental health, both in my family and also working in crisis mental health services. I've worked with individuals with substance use and those who've experienced sexual and domestic violence. I've worked with the military—active-duty members and family members—as well.
It's important to be patient with yourself. The goal in therapy is progress, it's not perfection. As a team, we'll get there. ERP is really powerful. I've seen it impact so many different people's lives. You learn to recognize things, not as something to be afraid of, but to be comfortable sitting inside of your feelings, and learning how to cope with your fears in a new way.
Know that I'm not here to judge anyone. I'm here to be a partner with you, to help you reach the goals that you see as important for your life.
