About

My approach to treating OCD is one of structured curiosity. I have a deep understanding of the many facets of mental health. I enjoy seeing others feel safe to open up and empowered to create the change they’ve been wanting for themselves. Outside of work, I'm a homebody, but I spend much of my time outdoors. I enjoy being outside with my Lab and chihuahua, camping in new spaces, exploring unfamiliar countries, and spending time in my kitchen. I'm constantly on the road to self-improvement, so I make sure to stay constant in my own inner journey. Balance is key.

Get to know Jillian Hughes

I’ve always wanted to be an ally to those struggling with mental health. Because of my own history with mental health struggles and family dynamics, I’ve had a longtime curiosity about how people work and how the mind functions. I enjoy seeing people empowered by therapy and how many lives have been changed by it, including mine.

After discovering NOCD and learning about the different types of OCD—and the powerful effects of ERP—my interest was piqued. I grew up with trichotillomania and severe anxiety and depression, so it resonated with me. I believe in knowing people's experiences in depth, so this connected on so many levels.

Childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, severe mental illness, unhoused individuals, system-impacted families, personality disorders, psychosis, TBI, end-of-life care, housing, gang-involved youth, juvenile justice, and working with ages 10+. I enjoy working with many populations. Community-based work is something I've always been passionate about and connected to; it’s my life’s work.

Wherever you are on your journey, you're right where you’re meant to be. Whatever got you to NOCD will get you through it. Simply being here is a huge step in itself.

Take your time. This is about you. I can meet you where you’re at.
