About

In OCD therapy, first it's essential to understand how OCD operates, functions, and affects different areas. Afterwards, strategies and techniques can be implemented to develop experiential learning, skills, and reduction of symptoms. I like to incorporate a blend of behavioral activation and cognitive psychoeducation. Outside of work, I enjoy watching movies, thrifting, and bicycling.

Get to know Jordan Baylis-Morgan

My curiosity about people's behavior and thoughts was apparent at a young age. It led me to see people from different perspectives and piqued my interest in the field of psychology. My passion for the field was solidified by witnessing how experiences, actions, thoughts, and emotions can be influenced and changed by psychological techniques. Being able to help people in this manner seemed natural and a good fit for my personality and character.

In the last few years of my career, the need to understand and be able to treat OCD became more apparent. Some of my clients were suffering from what I believed could be OCD, but I was uncertain about determining this and effectively treating it. My understanding of trauma and prolonged exposure therapy also made me want to become more knowledgeable of anxiety-related disorders. OCD and similar disorders aren't always easily identified and managed. That compelled me to learn how I can help people in this area.

Relationship issues, self-esteem, addiction/substance use, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, self-awareness/emotional regulation.

I'm here to help and support you in achieving your goals. Therapy is a collaborative process in which we work together, at your pace.

I would invite you to share your fear with me, if you're willing. Regardless of the contents of your thoughts and feelings, my role is to help and support you. Your thoughts are important to me, and I hope in time you'd feel comfortable sharing anything with me.
