About

My approach to your OCD treatment is centered on understanding and empathy. I bring a calm confidence and firm guidance to help you reach your goals. With me, you can expect consistent praise and encouragement, with a focus on overcoming your fears. Together we'll navigate the process of comparing anticipated fears to actual outcomes, fostering resilience and progress tailored to your individual experience. Beyond my role as a therapist, I find true happiness in the world of music. Singing is more than a hobby for me; it's where my heart feels most alive. When I'm not immersed in the therapeutic journey, you'll catch me on family vacations, creating cherished memories with my loved ones—especially with my one-year-old son, who brings so much joy and laughter into our lives.

Get to know Dominique Sampson

I became a therapist because I'm driven by challenge and a passion to aid struggling parents. My focus is on helping them rekindle their connection, recognizing the profound impact it has on the emotional stability of their children. My goal is to guide families toward stronger, healthier relationships, fostering an environment conducive to overall well-being.

I decided to specialize in treating OCD because of the detailed nature of this mental health condition. OCD presents unique challenges, demanding specific expertise. Specializing allows me to deepen my understanding, stay updated on the latest research, and hone my skills in the evidence-based treatment of exposure and response prevention (ERP), enabling me to effectively assist individuals, couples and families with OCD.

I can address a diverse range of therapeutic needs. This includes supporting individuals and couples in navigating relationship challenges and addressing trauma-related issues. I also hold certifications in prepare-enrich premarital assessment and family functional therapy. I've been trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing).

Although this journey may bring challenges, remember that you have the strength to overcome them. Through perseverance and consistency, you can triumph over difficulties.

In our work together, you can expect a non-judgmental space where you can feel secure sharing thoughts that may be causing distress. Throughout our therapy sessions, my role is to provide support as you build confidence in overcoming these challenges. It's important to recognize that distressing thoughts don't make you a terrible person, and you're not alone in facing this struggle. Although it may be uncomfortable and frightening to share, please understand that I'm professionally trained to assist you through these aspects.
