About

My approach to treating OCD is collaborative. You are the specialist when it comes to your experience with OCD; I am the trained specialist in treating OCD. Together we will work from our areas of specialty to overcome your OCD. When I’m not working, I enjoy having movie nights with my dog Cody and playing online video games. A fun fact about me: I make some of the best homemade ice cream.

Working in therapy to understand and cope with my own mental health opened my heart and mind to others who may share similar struggles.

Get to know Angela Dickerson

I became a therapist to help others who struggle with mental, emotional, and spiritual pain. As a child, I experienced trauma. I struggled to understand my feelings, emotions, and behaviors. Working in therapy to understand and cope with my own mental health opened my heart and mind to others who may share similar struggles.

I have seen how OCD can impact one's daily life and experiences. An OCD diagnosis and treatment are often missed and or misdiagnosed for other mental health disorders.

I have experience working with individuals with anxiety, depression, and substance abuse. I have witnessed how anxiety, depression, and substance abuse can impact individuals with these disorders and their loved ones. Helping others with mental health and substance abuse treatment can significantly change a person's experience and perspective about life and the world around them.

NOCD Therapy is a process. It will take time, and you may experience some anxiety. Having anxiety is an expected part of the process.

Sharing your thoughts can be difficult. Know that my goal is to help you through this difficult process. It may take time for you to feel comfortable sharing your thoughts, and that is OK.

NOCD therapists are trained by our world-renowned clinical leadership team.
