About

As your OCD therapist, I will meet you where you are. I'll push you through your comfort zone to create a new stable environment around your self-talk and behaviors. I'll help you leave unhealthy or dysfunctional strategies behind and move into a new and healthy lifestyle. Outside of work, I love sports, specifically soccer, where I have coached for more than 10 years. I enjoy games, puzzles, listening to music, and spending time with my family on trips. I'm the youngest of six in a blended family and have a blended family of my own. I also enjoy cooking and grilling year-round.

Get to know Jeffrey Lees

Raised in a blended family, I saw many perspectives of familial makeup. My senior year in high school, I took a psychology course, and it spoke to me. I then became a mother’s helper to a foster parent and knew I wanted to help others. From there, I've worked in homeless shelters, crisis centers, educational and vocational facilities, and residential and intensive outpatient hospital settings, and I've owned a successful private practice. I've worked with people from all walks of life. I appreciate the human spirit and the struggle to find peace and joy.

I wanted to learn more about how this condition affects so many other conditions we face. I also have personal experience with family members who struggle with this condition.

Addiction, parenting, family dynamics, trauma/abuse, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, PTSD, interpersonal relationships, suicidality, adolescent development and child milestones development, and learning disabilities. Family is my number one priority and these affect most familial relationships. I too have personal experience with trauma and anxiety. Adolescence is a strong interest of mine, as it molds a person's future life.

This is going to take effort, honesty, and commitment to look at hard-press behaviors to overcome your OCD. We will feel pain before the healing begins.

You could write your thoughts down to share. We could discuss your fears about sharing. If necessary, you could look for a different therapist with whom you may feel more comfortable.
