Ashley Kasperski

Licensed Therapist, MA, LPC

As a therapist, I'm direct and solution-centered. I challenge my members therapeutically—which can be a love/hate relationship at times—but is often rewarding. I love working with individuals and seeing how far they've come. I live on the coast of Texas and enjoy fishing, boat riding, and anything that has to do with the outdoors. Over the last few years, nature has been an element in my own healing journey. It's something I incorporate when giving myself self-care.

The more you let down your walls and become vulnerable to the process, the more change you'll see within yourself.

Get to know Ashley Kasperski

As a young child, I found enjoyment in listening to others and trying to find solutions to problems my close friends and family members were facing. In college, I was surprised by the different avenues one could take in the field of psychology and counseling. I was motivated to help people with the knowledge I've gained via life experiences and schooling.

OCD isn't as simple as others claim. I believe many people struggle with certain thinking patterns we've developed over time. I want to help others who don't feel safe with their thought processes and show there's hope.

Trauma-informed care, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and cognitive processing therapy.

Therapy can feel intimidating in the beginning. The key thing to remember: The more you let down your walls and become vulnerable to the process, the more change you'll see within yourself. Trust the process and continue to show up, even when it's hard.

It's normal to be afraid to share your story. Your story and your thoughts are yours. Evaluate how your therapist can earn the privilege to hear your story and gain insight. If you notice the connection just isn't there, have the courage to speak up. One therapist may not be able to meet everyone's needs, but they can help navigate you to someone who could be a great fit.
