She/Her
Licensed Therapist, MA, LMHC
I love when members are motivated, engaged, and reach their goals. Thoughts are just thoughts. They are intangible and often changing, but can also be irrational and unhelpful, so let's work on them together. Outside of work, I enjoy singing professionally, spending time with my nieces and nephews, going for hikes, and doing trivia nights with friends.

Talking things through with an unbiased, non-judgmental therapist can be a great first step toward self-improvement; it's often easier than talking to a loved one.
I became interested in becoming a therapist after taking a CBT course in my senior year of college. I was a music and psychology major and was considering a focus on music therapy. This class guided me in a slightly different direction. I remember learning how much our thoughts influence our emotions and behaviors. I thought, 'If these interventions really work, I want to teach others about these concepts and interventions so they can gain the confidence and skills to improve their quality of life on their own.'
Thus far in my career, I have really enjoyed working with anxiety disorders. CBT is an excellent treatment modality for anxiety disorders, but I noticed it wasn't completely effective for my members with OCD. I really wanted to learn a modality that, like CBT, was evidence-based but more specialized for those who struggle with OCD.
Depressive disorders, mood disorders, and ADHD. My graduate program focused on CBT, which is effective for various mental health disorders, so I was trained to work with these populations.
