I’m going on a decade of experience as a licensed social worker, treating mood & anxiety disorders, addiction, domestic violence, and OCD. I’ve learned that people struggling with disorders have a hard time finding access to a professional diagnosis. NOCD changes that. As a specialized OCD therapist, I’ll provide you with a diagnosis and, if you show signs of OCD, I’ll use the most trusted method in treating OCD called Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy. ERP is well-researched and proven to work.
Read moreI am a LCSW with over 30 years of clinical experience in the South Florida area working with clients diagnosed with OCD, Anxiety and other Mood Disorders, Personality Disorders, Trauma, Crisis, Dual Diagnosis, and Grief & Loss. I have worked in large teaching hospitals, inpatient and residential psychiatric units, IOPs, PHPs, OPs, private practices and hospices. At NOCD, our mission is to restore hope for people with OCD through better awareness and treatment. Our focus as a speciality-provider is on the NOCD 5 Diagnoses: OCD, Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors and Tics, Hoarding, Co-morbid to OCD Anxiety & Related Disorders. I am proficient in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy, considered the gold standard treatment for OCD. ERP requires you to face your fears. As your therapist, I know how to guide you so that you can walk through that fear and reach the reward that awaits you.
Read moreI have worked in the mental health field for the last 18 years, and now I specialize in treating OCD. I was drawn to NOCD because I saw how many people I can help with proper treatment. Having worked in the mental health industry for quite some time, I often saw OCD misdiagnosed. NOCD allows me to treat people with OCD using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy, developed specifically to treat all OCD subtypes. It’s well-researched and proven to work, and I think you’ll be surprised with how much progress you can make in such little time.
Read moreI really enjoy working individually with people, helping them meet their goals and creating a safe space. I would describe my treatment style as collaborative: I want to work together with you to make your treatment plan.
Read moreI am very well trained in ERP, which is the evidence-based practice for OCD. My approach is to get a good assessment of how thoughts are not compatible with people’s values and beliefs. I will ask questions about how these thoughts feel, manifest themselves, and create rituals that are designed to neutralize these disturbing thoughts. Then I help people create their own understanding of how to begin to eliminate or significantly reduce the time spent on the thoughts and the intensity of the feeling evoked by them, and get their lives back. In my free time outside of work, I enjoy boat rides with friends, camping, hiking, crafting, quilting, crocheting, and thrifting.
