My experience with treating OCD:

As a licensed therapist for over 20 years, I’ve treated many types of mental health issues. I’ve treated OCD in my private practice and have great familiarity with OCD subtypes. I love to see when people I’m treating get those in-session victories week to week. Being a part of that experience, witnessing someone’s growth is very exciting. Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is a proven-to-work therapy that allows me to guide you to victory over OCD.

About Me

Part of my background is working with addiction. There are similarities between addiction and OCD, as compulsions are used as temporary solutions to eliminate anxiety and urges. Compulsions prevent a person from practicing a long-lasting solution that treats the main problem. For OCD, that means facing your fears so that you no longer obsess over thoughts. I’ll create a safe space for you to practice ERP exercises as I stand by your side with guidance and support. Since I was in junior high school, I’ve wanted to become a therapist when I learned peer-supportive counseling. Now, I specialize in treating OCD. Members comment that I’m a great listener and enjoy my thoughtful feedback. Our time is a collaborative working session. It’ll take the two of us to help reach your goal, but I know you can do it.
