A few years ago, it became apparent that my client was impacted by intrusive thoughts and urges. I realized that the therapy I was using was not effective in treating their obsessions and compulsions, which led me to become trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy in my practice. Since then, I've helped countless adolescents and adults with numerous subtypes of OCD. It's been incredibly rewarding to play a role in helping people learn how to utilize ERP to confront their fears and to improve their overall well-being. I hope I can help you as well.
People with OCD are often hesitant to talk about the thoughts, images, and urges they experience, often for fear of being judged by others, misunderstood, or fear that their thoughts are more than just a thought. You may be feeling this way as well. I want you to know that you don't have to feel ashamed and embarrassed about your OCD. I'm here to pull you out of feeling isolated, so you can live the life you want. I like to develop a rapport with the person I'm treating, to make sure they don't feel alone while making progress towards recovery. You'll find a non-judgemental space to speak your mind, and you'll find me to be an empathetic, supportive guide that can help you get your life back.
