My career has put me in a lot of positions to help people and families in need. I have treated people for ADHD anxiety, and depression. There are some common principles between my past experiences and treating people with OCD, but the type of therapy I use to treat OCD sets the field apart. The therapy is called Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), an incredibly well-researched approach known for its ability to provide excellent results.
The intrusive thoughts you're going to describe to me during our sessions are just thoughts. It's not always comfortable talking about the hard stuff, so I put great value in the time we have together, ensuring that every conversation we have helps build and further your trust in me. I'm looking forward to guiding you to a better, healthier life. During our session, I like to be honest and real. I'm not going to sugar coat things because you should get direct and clear feedback on your progress. ERP is challenging, so I'll have to make it uncomfortable as you face your fears so you can learn how to manage your OCD comfortably.
