I’ve been treating people for over 13 years for issues such as PTSD, trauma, anxiety, and OCD. I also want to disclose to you that I personally have experience with counting rituals and perfectionism, so I know how behaviors such as these consume your time, all while creating anxiety.During treatment, I use an approach called Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy to teach you how to manage your OCD. My behaviors don’t stop me from living my life - I’ll teach you how to live the same way.
It’s essential to have a therapist that understands what you’re going through. I’ve experienced not wanting to share my habits with others because of how it made me feel, but you’ll be able to share your intrusive thoughts with me without the risk of being judged. I’ll help you learn that intrusive thoughts are just like other thoughts, and they don’t have to hold any power over you. I’ve been told by members that I make them feel very comfortable during sessions. I approach treatment more like a conversation than actual therapy, and that’s intentional because I want you to feel at ease while learning ERP techniques. Our work together is one step at a time, to get where you want to go, with me guiding you at your side as you take this life-changing journey.
