I have over 20 years of experience as a therapist under my belt, having worked with many individuals suffering from OCD. I know that learning to overcome OCD is a challenge. My role as a therapist is to listen to you, identify your subtypes, and help you get better. I’ll do that by implementing Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy into our sessions, because ERP is the best way to treat any OCD subtype. It all starts with listening to you explain your intrusive thoughts.
OCD can make you doubt and question everything about yourself —your morality, your identity, your love for someone. Once I learn about the type of intrusive thoughts you’re having, we can come up with a plan to teach you how to escape their grasp. I’m here to help you manage OCD so it doesn’t control you. I’ve been told that I'm a straight talker that stays away from “therapy jargon,” but I also have a good sense of humor. The most satisfying part of being a therapist is that people allow me into their lives so I can provide the help they need. I’m happiest when I see noticeable progress week to week, and it’s my sincere hope that we can work together to make positive change happen in your life.
