I have over 16 years of experience treating a wide range of age groups and mental health conditions. I’ve helped college students with anxiety, depression, and ADHD and treated people at a local crisis center. Recently, I've specialized in helping the LGBTQ community. I've treated OCD for many people, and enjoy seeing their progress as they work through their challenges. During our sessions, I'll be using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy.
Years ago, my daughter struggled with OCD, and I saw firsthand how OCD negatively affects a person's social life and emotional state. Since then, I've made it my mission to help people with OCD. One big lesson I've learned over the years is to stay curious and interested, a motto of sorts that I impress on people I treat. OCD can be scary, and ERP can be challenging because it forces you to face your obsessions and fears. Sometimes, it's best to observe what your OCD is doing to understand it better. You'll find me to be a highly optimistic and collaborative therapist. OCD treatment doesn't lend to a therapist just being quiet and listening, so good rapport is necessary. I know you can put your OCD troubles behind you. Let's build your confidence up so you can get your life back.
