Before coming onboard with NOCD, I spent several years helping military members and their families deal with deployment stress and reintegration. I eventually received training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy through the International OCD Foundation so I can treat people with OCD. Working with ERP, I like that the people I'm treating can feel like there's a path, and with each step, they're gaining confidence and feeling a difference in their lives. This is the type of experience I hope you'll have when you do ERP therapy with me.
Intrusive thoughts, urges, and feelings can leave a person debilitated. Compulsions may seem like they're helping, but they only allow OCD to stick around. If you're experiencing obsessions and don't know how to get away from them, I can help. I understand that you may be experiencing shame, but I know that you are not your OCD. I'm here to provide support and the type of treatment that will help you get through this. Members describe me as relaxed and compassionate. I'm determined to teach you how to manage your OCD so that you don't have to feel this way any longer. Let's work together to meet your goal of putting your OCD behind you.
