I'm passionate about helping people with OCD improve their quality of life. As a therapist, I enjoy empowering people so they can manage their symptoms outside of therapy. I've been practicing as a licensed therapist since 2014, and I have a B.S. in Psychology from SUNY Geneseo. I'm fully convinced that Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy is the only therapy a person with OCD should be treated by.
ERP is a collaborative process. You’re sharing intrusive thoughts that, for some, may be painful or embarrassing to describe. You may even practice rituals to relieve OCD-related anxiety or tension, only to have it return. It’s my job to listen without judgment and to help you get better, using ERP. People that work with me often describe me as warm and direct while in sessions - a perfect harmony that allows me to get to the root of the problem. Sessions are an effort between you and me, and I hope to give you every tool you need to succeed against OCD.
