I grew up as an anxious child, but I learned that anxiety-producing experiences get easier to manage as you go through them. This eventually led me into OCD therapy, which I’ve been practicing for over ten years since graduating from Towson University in Maryland. In grad school, I studied OCD and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy, the most effective form of OCD treatment.
Before you start therapy, I want you to know that your intrusive thoughts are not who you are. Even though they can be scary or violent, or make you feel ashamed, I understand that they’re only thoughts. You may be hesitant or afraid to share your thoughts with me, but we will get you over those first few hurdles. With my help, you can learn to manage OCD on your own, and get your life back in return. I’ve been told by people who have worked with me that I am an enthusiastic teacher, and get people to do things they didn't think they could do. Let’s empower you and bring joy back into your life.
