I take a person-centered approach to OCD therapy that is adaptive, validating, supportive, and gently challenging. Therapy isn’t easy. It takes hard work and consistency that can feel overwhelming. Progress isn’t a straight line. But there's a future where things can be better. You can learn skills that help you find a healthier balance in life, and you won’t be doing it alone. I’ll be with you through the steps you’ve chosen to take here with NOCD. I also specialize in treating addiction, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and grief.

My personal connection to OCD and mental health

I've been influenced by mental health both personally and through my loved ones. It has shaped how I see people as individuals, how I empathize with their struggles, and my motivation to help you overcome your challenges. Being part of the LGBTQIA+ community has also given me a deeper understanding of some of the unique needs my Members can face, especially in communities where mental health can be affected by discrimination.

How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy

I can't ask you to be authentic if I'm not being authentic. So, I show up as the human being I am—being professional, of course, but still human. I've lived, loved, cried, and been scared. I've felt the same feelings you've likely felt. My job is to create a space where you feel safe enough to go through all of those things with me.

What I want to help you see in yourself

Whatever strengths or qualities you want to see in yourself—that's what I want to help you achieve. It's not about what I want. It's about what you want. My goal is to help you move toward a life that minimizes unhealthy patterns and brings out your strengths.

My message to you if you're considering therapy

I know it can be hard to open up to someone you just met, and those feelings are common. This is a process that takes time, patience, and effort—it doesn't need to be fast or perfect. I blend support, education, understanding, and humor to help you truly understand what you're going through and what steps we can take to change what's not helping you.

Good experience

My therapist Jennifer is incredible. Non-judgemental. Sees me. Understands me. Understands OCD. Incredibly knowledgeable. Soo helpful. Does NOT feed my (sneaky re-assurance seeking) compulsions. And has helped me bring awareness to my OCD thoughts and both my mental and physical compulsions. She is supportive and I look forward to therapy. My DOCS score has decreased from a 36 -> 31 in about 2 months. I'm feeling so proud of my progress. A big thank you to Jennifer and NOCD.
